I would like to find a daughter of John Smith Poynor who was the college physician of the college in Thorp Spring in 1880 through about 1890. The daughter was listen in the 1880 Hood County Census. Her name Was Dora born Texas ( probably in Tarrant County, and after 1870) In 1880 she was listed as 7 years of age. I have never been able to determine if she died or married, just no trace of her. Can anyone help? John Eaheart ___________________________________________________________________ You don't need to buy Internet access to use free Internet e-mail. Hi, Just wanted to clear up one thing. There is no charge for our CENSUS ONLINE site. The census we are placing online are free and will always remain free. It seems a previous poster was under the impression they would be charged. Not the case at all. We hope some of you will find your ancestors there. We have some Kentucky and Indiana census there with a couple of other databases as well. Also......if you have any connections to the Smelser/Smeltzer family, I have a web site exclusively for them. Tons of Smelser / Smeltzer / Smelcer and allied families on that site. http://members.tripod.com/tracers There is a search feature on that site and lots of other family names in the databases there. Yes, the 1870 Census is online on the Hood Records and we don't even have to pay to see it. I viewed it one night this week. Wanda
Sorry about my earlier message about the 1870 Hood Co, TX census double posting. I don't know how that happened. Please excuse. Anyway..... on to genealogy. There is a Waldrop family who lived in the Hood Co, TX area in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Does anyone know where they were before Texas? My mother was a Waldroup. Her family came to Texas around 1890 and resided in Wise, Parker, Navarro, and Bosque areas. I am wondering if the Hood Co family is related. Any help is appreciated greatly. Thanks, Brenda
