Look in your telephone book to see if there is a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Not the Reorganized church. If one is listed, call and ask them if they have a Family History Library with Census viewers. Nothing takes the place of the experience of viewing these census records in person. It costs $3.25 to order a roll of film which you will have 5 weeks to examine. The libraries also have many rolls of film on hand that you may view free. You might get lucky & they might just happen to have the census you want to see. It happened for me. I live in a small town in Arkansas & was so surprised that they had one of the Limestone County Texas census on hand for free. Also, I work full time, but they are open for me on Sat morning & Wed evenings. The library is staffed by volunteers & they do not try to push their religion on you in any way.
