Hello, Linda. Just today there is an article in the Lufkin Daily News regarding the preservation of old cemeteries. In the article there is a reference to the rights of a family member to visit the gravesite of their loved ones even though the cemetery is owned by a private individual. Notification must be provided to the land owner before accessing the cemetery site.
