I am searching for parents of James Porter Davis, b. ca 1865 Georgia, died July 24, 1913 Caddo, Bryan, Oklahoma of Typhoid fever. He married in Hill County, Texas, Oct. 2, 1901, to Nettie Mae Brown. b 1880 Hill CO., daughter of Joseph M.Brown. He was called Jim Davis and on a some land records as J.P. Davis. He was said to have been raised in and around Grayson Co., Texas, but also resided in Hill County at times. Any clues on his parents appreciated. Thank You. Loretta Davis
