Through absolute stupidity.... I was doing what a service tech was telling me to do, and I've deleted (and netscape doesn't go to the recycle bin....it just disappears forerver)... all my mail...saved mail, sent mail, a years worth of genealogy mail, all my contacts.... my address book. I've corresponded with many of you....some about common ancestors....many about the photo site. I'd appreciate it if you would write me directly at [email protected], if we've ever corresponded, so I will have your address, and if we ever corresponded over our own common ancestry... let me know... especially if you sent me any contact info etc. I can't even begin to tell you how devastating this is for me! Barbara, I had the same thing happen to me, not once, but twice. This second time taught me something.....it has something to do with "backup" AND did you know, did any of you know, that you can your mail on your hard drive and not in your mail program? I made a folder, named it AAsaved mail (I threw in AA to make it appear first on the list of programs in the management) when I want to keep mail, I save it to that folder, not within the mail program, but on the hard drive. Besides that, I found that although I lost a bit of very important information, in time most of that lost stuff was replaced anyway. Don't fret too long. God Bless, E.
