Hi LaDawn, Was Malichi still alive when his wife died in 1913? Cathy From: "LaDawn" <[email protected]> Reply-To: [email protected] To: [email protected] Subject: TRAFTON in Hill Co? Date: Mon, 12 Feb 2001 21:52:47 -0600 Hello List I am searching for any record of MALACHI / MELICHI TRAFTON in Hill County. Malachi lived in Hill County (Aquilla) in 1860 and later moved to Bexar County. Family legend has it that Malachi later returned to Hill county, where he died and is buried. His Wife Nancy died in 1913 in Gonzales Co. I have found him in the 1860 census index (pg.94), but have no idea who it lists with him. If any one has access to that census, I would really appreciate a lookup.. I would love to hear from anyone who has run across this name in their research. If I can help with any of your research here in Bosque, please let me know. Thanks so much LaDawn Garland Bosque Co, TX [email protected] ==== TXHILL Mailing List ==== Please visit our website by Debbie http://homepages.go.com/~disco77/HillTx.html Also check out the picture website by Barb http://www.zing.com/album/?id=4293428835 ============================== Search more than 150 million free records at RootsWeb! http://searches.rootsweb.com/ _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com
Hi Cathy, we don't believe so, the last record we have for him was in 1880, after that his wife is living with some of her children. Not sure if Malachi had died or moved off on his own. He is our big mystery in the family, no idea what happened to him, just older relatives say they always heard he died and was buried back in Hill Co. He was born around 1820 if that helps any.
