    2. Great! You all have found Grandpa! John P. is my great-grandfather. Fannie was his second wife, and the Garrett there is her son, I believe. I am curious about the other Wilkinsons. I think John P. moved to Hill County in the early 1880s from Walker County because of family there, but I cannot prove it;. I know that he and Fannie named one of their children Ed. Could it be for the Ed mentioned in graveyard? My grandfather, only son of his first marriage, married and lived in Limestone County, where he is buried. Thanks so much for this information! love joan P.S. John P. was a Confederate veteran -- he served in Wood's Mississippi Cavalry all during the War of Northern Aggression. He died two days after Christmas in 1925 -- I was a baby, and my mother took me to his bedside. At that time one of his sons was sheriff of Hill County and lived in the jail. For this is the day that the Lord hath made Join me in rejoicing in it, and let us be glad!
