My grandparents lived in Woodbury, Cannon Co., Tennessee. However, at the turn of the century my great grandfather, Dillard Franklin Bell moved to Texas on several occasions. My uncle, Winford Bell, told me that they lived in Hillsboro, Texas. Frank met and married Ruby Gunter in Texas, November 12, 1899. She was born, July 4, 1880 (possibly Hillsboro) Her parents are Francis and Malissa. Uncle Winford said he was born there. My grandmother, Ila J. Bell born September 28, 1900, was possibly born there. On one of several trips to Texas She met and married Early Lonis 'Earl' Rivers born September 26, 1901. They married sometime before 1922 and moved soon thereafter to Woodbury, Cannon Co., Tn. He died four days after his daughter was born. (he died of typhoid fever and homesickness) He was only 22/23.
