You mentioned that your Dad graduated in 1947. I have two cousins that were living in Hillsboro in about 1943. I don't know what happened to them after that time. Maybe, if I am lucky, your Dad might have accidentally known them. Could you ask him? They would have been in their late 60s or early 70s. Their names were Dan BRYAN (BRYANT) and Josephine BRYAN (BRYANT). They were brother and sister. From what I have heard, they never married. Their parents were James R. and Martha (NORWOOD) BRYAN (BRYANT). And it is possible that since they were children from a second marriage and parents were a little older that they were the ones that ended up taking care of them and then the world had passed them by. Although 'The West News' is still published.
