WHITNEY MESSENGER FRIDAY JANUARY 28, 1966 Oliver A. Turner, 74, a lifetime resident of Whitney, died at his home here at 7 a.m. Wednesday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today (Friday) at Marshall and Marshall Chapel, the Rev. Calvin Halbert and the Rev. L.E. Snow officiating. Interment will be in Whitney Cemetery. Mr. Turner was a retired construction worker. He was a veteran of WWI and a member of the Methodist church. He married Miss Laura Mae Epps August 25, 1917. Survivors include his widow; three brothers, Elvie of San Angelo, Don of Houston and Price Turner of Best; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Carter of Houston; five children, James Paul Turner of Hillsboro, Mrs. W.C. Parks of El Dorado, Billy D. Turner and Melvin E.
