WHITNEY MESSENGER FRIDAY, JULY 17, 1953 Thomas Jefferson Pollard, age 71 passed away at the Whitney hospital on Monday July 13. He had been in ill health for some time. Funeral services were conducted at the graveside in the Whitney Cemetery at 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. F.E. Weller officiating. Mr. Pollard was born in Walling Bend, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Cleveland Pollard. He continued to live in Walling Bend community until the building of Whitney Dam compelled he and his brother, Isaac to move. They were making their home in the Tarver community at the time of his death.
