    1. Hill County Birthday
    2. Darlene Henson
    3. Hello, My aunt, my mother's only sibling, was born January 31, 1910 in Hill County, Texas. She will be 91 next Wednesday. She enjoys great health and still loves Hill County. I take her to visit cemeteries (Ridgecrest old and new?, Vaughn and Hillcrest) once a year. We drive around the county and Hillsboro so I can hear her great stories. She points out places and things she remembers from childhood and I try to write it all down to tell my children if they are ever interested. If any of you wonderful Hill County people would like to send her a birthday message, I will print it out and give it to her. She is Lucille Cleveland Hooker. Her parents were Dana and Cora Hill Cleveland. Her grandparents were Richard and Amanda Turk Cleveland and Dr. W.R. Hill and Augusta Smith Hill all of Hill County. She married Harold Otis Hooker of Hillsboro on her 18th birthday. Thanks, Darlene Henson [email protected]

    3. Hi Darlene, Hi Darlene, Please wish your aunt, Mrs. Hooker a "Special Happy Birthday" from the Duluth, GA connection. I have not been working on my Turk connection lately as we have been busy with Jim's side of the family, but I haven't given up. Ask Mrs. Hooker if any of the Turks lived in the San Antonio area. My aunt remembers taking my grandmother, Hannah Matilda Hale Bishop Allen to visit her relatives from her first marriage to Andrew Jackson Bishop whose mother was a Turk. I have to get to Hill Co and check on records soon. My Daughter in Norman, OK is expecting a baby at the end of March wish I could get down to Hill Co then. Mom remembers as a young girl visiting her grandmother Turk and Uncle Jack and Uncle Jim and Aunt Gilly. It is all there but I can't make the connection. Did I tell you I have affidavits from A J Turk & J M Turk referring to my grandfather Andrew Jackson Bishop as their nephew. One of these days I will find it. So good to see your note. Again - Happy Birthday and many, many more. Keep in touch, Dorothy Rouse >
