I have read the messages ref the Lewis families of Hill co TX. My grandmother had a sister Lizzie Benton who married John Lewis in Hill co 13 Dec 1897. In the 1900 census they had one daughter, Inez, born in Oct 1899. I was told that Lizzie died shortly after this and John Lewis remarried. I have never been able to find anything further on John or his daughter Inez. Would any of you researching the Lewis family have any information on this family? Lizzie was a daughter of Sully Reeves Benton and Betty Jones Nunn (my gr grandparents.) Betty was a daughter of William M Nunn, grand daughter of William R Nunn. She was born in Hill Co in 1854. Sully Reeves was a son of Mary Matilda Reeves Benton Climer, stepson of James M Climer who came to Hill Co about 1867. Sully's brother was George W Benton who was a doctor in Hill Co from about 1883 until his death about 1908. Any information on any of these families would be appreciated.
