Whitney Messenger Thursday, June 13, 1946 REUNION AT PETTY HOME SUNDAY At the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tack Petty Sunday, the Petty children and their families all gathered for a family reunion. This was the first time they had all been together in some time. At the lunch hour a wonderful dinner was spread with all the good things to eat. The afternoon was enjoyed by taking of childhood days and the many good times all had had around the old home place in this community. Those present to enjoy the day were their foster parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.M. Reed and family, Whitney; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Overton and family, Waco; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Arnold. Irvin Boswell and family, Whintey; Mr. and Mrs. Sant Petty and children, Cleburne; Mr. and Mrs. Houston Petty. Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Petty, Leige and Lish Petty, Fort Worth. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Shelley and family, Ott and Van Petty of Leuders; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Petty and children of Waco; Freeman of Whintey. Several visitors called during the afternoon whose names this writer failed to get. Everyone enjoyed the day very much.
