From what I understand and have been told Francis A Herring my ggreat grandmother's father was Peyton Herring and her mother was Mary "Polly " Evans Herring , first wife of Peyton Herring . James Matteson Herring , father was Peyton Herring, mother was Ludicia Friend second wife of Peyton Herring. I don't have a lot on this line. I know several of the Herrings are buried in the Peoria Cemetery where my ggreat grandfather Andrew Pendleton is buried. And there are a lot in the records at the County Court house. Francis (ggg) was last found in Limestone County in the 1900 census living with her daughter Sarah Rowell. Thanks to Roy for that information.
