Hillsboro Daily Mirror Monday, November 13, 1967 Mrs. Bell Griffith Mrs. Bell Griffith, 96, of Route 2, Whitney, died Sunday in the McNutt Calloway Nursing Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3:30 p.m. in Marshall and Marshall Chapel with Rev. Archie Carmichael of Hillsboro and Dr. J.W. Ousley of Waco officiating. Burial will be in Peoria Cemetery. Mrs. Griffith was born Aug. 7, 1871, in Mississippi. She came to Texas at the age of seven and lived in the Bethel community most of her life. She married James Franklin Griffith Dec. 25, 1888. He died Aug. 27, 1957. Mrs. Griffith was a Baptist.
