Joe Applegate 1923 - 2002 Joe Applegate, 78, a retired carman for the Santa Fe Railroad, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2002, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 2 p.m. Saturday at Cleburne Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Pleasant View Cemetery in Hill County. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Joe Applegate was born Aug. 8, 1923, in Blanton. He was a member of Westside Church of Christ. He lived in Covington from 1977 to 1993. Survivors: Wife, Laverne Applegate; sons, Billy Don Applegate and wife, Peggy, Curtis Ray Applegate and wife, Kathy, and Steve Applegate and wife, Paula; mother, Bertie Lee Applegate; brothers, F.B.
