I have no connection to any individuals. GLADYS DOBBS BLOUNT died at her home in Houston, June 1, 2003. She was born in Hillsboro May 8, 1908, to Sam J. and Sarah Platter Dobbs. She grew up in Terrell where she met and married Arlon Blount in 1936. Gladys and Arlon moved to Houston from Ennis in 1967. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband, Arlon, in 2000; son, Murray Gene, in 1958; as well as five siblings. She is survived by her daughters and their husbands, Lora Jayn and Russell Schexnayder, and Karyn and Charles Galetka; granddaughters, Michele Hutcheson and Laura and husband, Mark Bravo; and great grandchildren, Amelia and Kenyon Bravo. Graveside services were held last Wednesday at Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis. Published in the Houston Chronicle on 6/8/2003.
