Maybe NS means Not Stated, or Not Sure < or > if they were from Canada, I've found it to mean Nova Scotia. Does anyone know how to determine the boundaries of the Enumeration Districts? I've seen the Enumeration District descriptions on microfilm, but to someone unfamiliar with the area, the description for Justice Precinct #6; ED 49 is not very helpful.
