    1. [TXHILL] Need information on Malcolm JETER
    2. I work with the Cemetery Interest Group of the Waco-McLennan County Library and the Projects Committee of CTGS (Central Texas Genealogical Society). We are trying to identify all of the cemeteries (past and present) in and right around McLennan County TX. A few months ago, we were alerted to a lost cemetery about 2 miles over our county line into Hill County. It is truly a small pioneer cemetery. All of the tombstones are native rocks in which inscriptions were carved, except for one 1866 Confederate military marker for Malcolm JETER (which appears to be the most recent marker). At this point we cannot identify any other names of burials as all the other stones were vandalized in past, reportedly by kids staying at the Latham Springs Bible Camp. Evidence of an old cedar post fence exists. Does this Malcolm JETER belong to anyone on the list? We'd like to put a name to this cemetery and possibly learn about others who might be buried there. This is a very small cemetery so it may be a family burial ground. The cemetery is not visible from any roads and there is no evidence of other structures around the cemetery. I also posted this message to the JETER surname board on rootsweb. I'm hoping someone can help us! If you have information, please post it to either this list or the JETER surname list, email me or contact Roy Bessiere w/Hill County Genealogical Society. Thanks! Carol Anne Wilson CIG, CTGS
