Maybe a child gave the information and didn't know the answers the census taker asked. I have been told they took information from anyone over a certain age. I would look at the other households before and after the one you are interested in and see what kind of information is given. I don't know what library you are using but usually someone working there is knowledgeable about the census. I have always had my questions answered and I always have a question about something.
