Hillsboro Reporter Thursday, February 5, 2003 ADDIE BURLESON Addie Worley Burleson, 66, of Cleburne was born in Aquilla January 29, 1937, daughter of Braxton and Valda Worley. She resided in Aquilla for the first 18 years of her life. After grade school, she attended Aquilla High School and graduated in 1955, serving as valedictorian of her class. Thereafter, she attended Mary Hardin Baylor University where she majored in English. On December 22, 1956, she married Ronald Roy Burleson and took a break in her academic studies to raise a family. She resumed studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating in 1975 and fulfilling her life-long dream of becoming a teacher. Her teaching career began at Godley High School in 1975 from where she retired in 1995. Survivors include: her husband; two sons, Dr. Mark Burleson and his wife, Dr. Judy Yates, of Arlington, and Scott Burleson of Burleson; two granddaughters; six sisters, one brother, four brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law, including Anna Polster and husband, William Charles, of Perry, Tommie Hill and husband, Herbert, of Whitney, Sue Manax and husband, Bill, of West, Peggy Frazier and husband, Dennis, of Burleson, Judy Chick of Fredricksburg, Virginia, Karen Worley of Bedford and Bennie Worley and wife, Karen, of Aquilla; and numerous nieces and nephews.
