Dear Friends, I am currently researching some late 1800s Tax Microfilm rolls for Hill County Texas and have a couple of questions I hope you can help me with: 1. On some of the Assessment Forms there is an entry for "From what tract taken". This is under the Real Property section of the form. I was wondering if it is documented somewhere where these tracts were physically in the county. I was hoping there might be a county map that would show the original tracts and how they were sectioned. 2. As you know the microfilm rolls can be hard to read at times and are usually just as bad or worse when printed so I was wondering if there is a depository somewhere with blank Assessment forms that one could fill out while viewing the microfilm.
