Hillsboro Reporter Thursday, February 5, 2003 WILSON ALLEN Mr. Wilson George Allen, 84, of Blum, died Saturday, February 1,at his residence. Born November 19, 1918, in Huron, he was the son of the late Charles Walter and Bessie Dollar Allen. He moved to Hillsboro at an early age and graduated from Hillsboro High School. He married Maxine Kennedy December 24, 1937 in Fort Worth. He served in the Navy during World War II; was an assistant foreman over the paint department of General Dynamics in Fort Worth, retiring in 1976 after 30 years with the company; and also worked for Montgomery Wards in Fort Worth for a number of years after moving back to Hill County, settling in Whitney before moving to Blum. He was preceded in death by two sons, W.G. Allen and Richard Dale Allen; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include: his wife; three children, Charles M. Allen and wife, Kay, of Whitney, Teresa Moore and husband, Larry, of Conroe and Randy N. Allen of Blum; one brother Wendell Allen of Burleson; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
