The Hillsboro Mirror Wednesday, June 26, 1940 James Griffin Parker Funeral services for James Griffin Parker, who passed away at the family residence in the Peoria Community, June 19, 1940, were held from the residence at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon condutced by the Rev. H.B. Thompson. Interment was in the Peoria Cemetery under the direction of Marshall and Marshall. Mr. Parker a native of Mississippi came to Texas when four years ago, the family locating in Hill County and had lived in this county practically ever since. He was married to Margaret J. Pierce 65 years ago.
