Hillsboro Reporter Wednesday, January 8, 2003 MINNIE WOOTEN Mrs. Minnie Wooten, 87, of Whitney died Monday, January 6, at a Waco hospital. She was born September 3, 1915 in Clifton, daughter of Richard and Katie Birtle Lee. She grew up in Womack and graduated from Clifton High School. She received a Bachelor degree from Tarleton State University and a Master degree from Baylor University. She married J.T. (Bunk) Wooten in April of 1938. She taught school in Womack, Walling Bend and Whit-ney, retiring from Whitney in 1978. She also worked at the school after retirement. She was a member of Whitney Church of Christ, Delta Kappa Gamma and Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband March 22, 1960; one son, Tom, December 17, 1980; two brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include: one granddaughter, Michelle Marchesani and husband, Vinny, of Arlington; one great-grandson, Andrew Marchesani; one daughter-in-law, Marlene Eubanks of Allen; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 8, at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Bruce Martin officiating.
