Dortha, Sorry, I do not have independent information on Hardeman Co. TX. The Gibson Elrod information was merely an online lookup by the 1920 Census Index. The Hardeman County Vital Records Office may be of some help if you wish to write or call them. Write to: Hardeman Co. Vital Records Office, ATTN: Hardeman County Clerk, Courthouse, Quanah, TX 79252. Or call: (940) 663-2901. V. Sue
These are the Ellrod's I find listed in the Salem Cemetery in Irene. Molly White Ellrod, wife of J. Sue, I see you have some records for Hardeman Co. I am wondering if you could find any record of the death of my grandfather, Jacob Silas McElroy. He went to Chillicothie to work as a carpenter, building a barn for a man there. He became very ill and died with meningitis. The family story goes that the man allowed my grandfather to stay in the barn whild he was ill. I do not know the man's name. My grandfather died May 20, 1913 in Chillicothie. I will appreciate any help you can give me. I've lost Angie's e-mail address - I think she's on this e-mail list. Angie, on the LDS site, you have an "Elias Burns" listed on a pedigree you submitted. Born Nov. 27, 1844; died Montgomery Co., Arkansas, Dec. 22, 1914. I'd sure appreciate talking to you about this. Could you please contact me directly? I'm wondering if that Elias Burns is the one I've been looking for who was born in Hill Co. in 1844. Deven Lewis; deven@dslextreme.com

I appreciate so much all of you who have sent information about Joe Olan Walton and his family. I don't have all the dates yet but I believe I will sooner or later. If I can ever help any of you in northwest Arkansas I will be glad to do so. Anne Walton Wilson anne-wilson@juno.com
I am trying to locate CORRINE CHIPLEY (SHIPLEY) and/or BILLIE KATE COLLIER. They both lived in Wichita Falls, Texas some years ago. The telephone numbers I had for them are not working numbers. I have been told they were working on the GRIFFIN family history at one time. If anyone knows either/both of these ladies please ask them to contact me. RE - Towash Baptist Church, The Lake Whitney Views, March 1994, states that "Dedicated church members, many of them related to the Towash pioneers, saved the handhewn rostrum, banister, church bell, Bible and original records to remind them of their original church, built in a1856." Does anyone know if the old church membership roster is online, or does someone do look-ups, or should we just write the church and ask for a look-up? Deven Lewis
Thank you , appreciate your help. Lou

Would apprecaite the following look ups : Sarah Pendleton ------? Rowell Courtney Pendleton ? Rosetta Pendleton ____? Mary Pendleton ____' Lavinia (Luvinia)Pendleton _____? Martha J. For jbnixon: > Does your BROOKS go back to Marshall and Blount Cos., AL in the 1830s-60s? The census shows them in St. Clair Co., AL, in 1850. Before that, they were from GA. My ggreat grandmother was Rebecca ELLIS from Blount Co., so it's possible that my ggreat grandfather lived there long enough to meet her. I don't have a Warren Jacob in my notes, but that doesn't mean we aren't "cousins." Karen (Brooks) Cotten http://stores.half.com/thecottens
Lou, I only found one listing from your request. That was Mary Pendleton who married C. Gendreaw in Hill Co. on July 7, 1886. She was listed as being previously married. This may or may not be your Mary. If it is yours, she was probably divorced from her previous husband because she was using her maiden name. If her husband had of died, she would have carried his name. This is my thoughts. Keith LCHILD1614@aol.com wrote: > Would apprecaite the following look ups : > Sarah Pendleton ------?
