Are there any descendants of James K. Polk ROBERTS on this list? He went by the name POLK. His wife was Mary A. HALEY. They came to Texas from Jackson Co, TN around 1881. One of thier sons, Linzie Roberts lived in Blum, TX. I have run across a death in the Texas death index of Mary A. Roberts who died in 1925 in Hill County. Does anyone know who this Mary A. Roberts is? I am hoping she is James K. Polk's wife and my gggrandmother. Would love to correspond with any descendants of my Roberts family. Other children of James and Mary are: Amanda Tennessee Roberts Waldroup - married in Ellis Co, TX, later to Hughes Co,OK. Robert E. Roberts - lived in Ellis Co, TX, later to Carter Co, OK. Daisy Roberts Martin - lived in Ellis Co, TX, later to Tarrant Co, TX. Josiah Roberts - known as Joe, lived in Stephenville, TX. Leonides Roberts - born 1880, no other known data. Hi Cousin....... How long is it taking you to get these when you send off for them? I have been waiting forever for my mom's. And....have you had to send in a copy of your driver's license? I did not do that.....and, I'm wondering if I might need to resubmit my request and include them. Any pointers?
