My Gggrandmother was a teacher at the school. Her name was Elizabeth (Beth), and she was 1/2 Cherokee, 1/2 French. She married a man by the last name of Johnson, who was full blood Cherokee. They had one daughter and one son. Her husband died about 1882. Beth then married a man by the last name of Mallard. Beth was born in 1845. I am also told that she was a mid-wife. I am hoping to find this school and possibly records on the teachers. Which I hope will lead me to learn her last name. Any help in locating this school would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
