Surnames: Panther, Barton, Laymance Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/4kB.2ACI/1872 Message Board Post: Seeking information on this family my G Grandmother Sylvania Elizabeth "Betty" Laymance married Thomas W Panther and had one child a daughter Thomas Elizabeth "Tommie" Panther. I am related to Betty's 2nd marriage to Isaac Franklin Barton. Tommie married Curtis Neel Barton her husbands younger brother which caused some excitement until everyone figured out they were not blood related. Betty finally told everyone that if Tommie was not welcome at their house then not to bother coming to hers. That put an immediate end to any problems. I would like information on Thomas siblings and any information on his parents who came to Texas from Choctaw County Mississippi. They settled 3 miles South of Brownsboro and Panther Branch crossed their property part of the Gonzales Survey south west of Jennings Mountian. Bill
