my grandpa was marvin reece hester born nov. 20 1911 died 12 may 1946 - typhoid . he was married to izora jock. (daughter of john henry jock and nevada hurbrough, indian) they had 3 sons one of which was my dad wayne albert hester. raised in athens, texas. marvin reece's dad was william rufus born 11 june 1883 , married to mary elizabeth baker b. 1 nov 1881 d. 31 june 1958. william rufus had these brothers and sisters: nellie(married nathaniel boyd), john thomas jr. (married rosie baker), narcissa . william rufus's father was john thomas sr. b. 1848 married to sarah monk b.1855.(sally) his father was felmon b. 1815 tenn. died 1894 mabank. married to betsy ann snowden. and to sarah e. whitehead reeder b. 1837. (am told he killed betsy , caught her with another man???) felmon and betsy had : william joseph (married narcissa monk and emma mary moon b. 1865), john thomas sr, as mentioned above. , temply j. (married john edwin) , amanda e. (married david a stephens), sarah l. b. 1856 (married gwn stephens jr.),susan victoria b. 1859 (married samuel stephens). children with sarah reeder: seleslie matilda b. 1867 d. 1927 (married wylie c. banes), richard barnett 1870(married eva ann lester), james adolph 1876(married tolula lee lester). i know once they left tenn, or miss. they settled in henderson county area, mabank, athens, malakoff. any connection out there?
