Davidson Davis is shown on the Henderson Co., census in 1870 with several of her children. She married John E. Davis in 1845 in Lauderdale Ms. They moved to Upshur Co. by 1850, Bowie Co. by 1860. Their children were named Caroline S., David W., Thomas Hale, Martha Sophronia (my grandmother), Barbary Ellis Allen, Mary Harlow and John H. There are similarities in names and counties where they lived with the Riddlesperger and Griffith families. My grandmother married Archie James Boyd in 1881 and lived in Athens until about 1907. Archie James was in Athens before 1860. He is shown on the 1860 census living with his grandfather, John Hannah and several aunts. Willing to share info with anyone interested in these families.
