Hi Jerry, I live in Corsicana :) and was born in Hubbard TX just a hop and skip from Dawson....my sisters went to grade school in Dawson in 1945....the year I was born... My husband and I rode out that way one day, years ago and they have a historial marker along the highway where some Native Americans were killed or could have been who they killed...old age setting in, can't remember who was killed. But there is a marker. Would like to go back again...maybe when the weather cools. My names I am searching are: MARSHALL/HAWKINS/MUSICK/ALEXANDER/DENSON from Smith, Cherokee, Henderson, Navarro Counties...
