"Mattie" Parker - b. 17 Nov 1870 Talbot Co., GA. / d. 26 Jul 1945 in Henderson Co., TX. Indications are that in the 1910 Census her father - John Floyd Parker and his 2nd wife Susan L. Eagle was living with Mattie Bell in Henderson Co., TX. Story is that James Thomas Bell was in the Terrel State Hospital. Need information on this family. knp

    3. I checked the Indexed Athens Review (newspapers) 1900-1950 for all the names mentioned in your query. The only one I found was a reference for J. F. Parker (maybe your John Floyd). Here is what was in the paper. It was a Thursday Edition. May 7, 1925, pg 20 (reference for the printed version of the paper) J. F. Parker, Age 86, died at home of his daughter Mrs. T.L. Bell in the Sand Springs community last night. Death was due to old age. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 1:30 at Shelby Chapel, with burial in the Shelby Chapel Cemetery. Services will be conducted by Bro. Young. Besides Mrs. Bell, he is survived by a daughter in California and a son who resides in Fort Worth. Good luck in your research.
