Peacock, 79, of Trinidad are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Lakeside Baptist Church with Floyd Loven officiating.Burial will follow at Trinidad Cemetery under the direction of Tomlinson Funeral Home of Malakoff.Mrs. Peacock died July 10, 2001, in Corsicana.She was born Dec. 4, 1921, in Abilene to Dewey and Jewel Wommac Compton.Mrs. Peacock lived in the Trinidad area since 1982. She worked as a bookkeeper for Adams Hat in Dallas and for Pattent Scaffolding. She was also a homemaker.She was preceded in death by her husband, Mel Peacock; parents; daughter, Paula Walden; and brother, Gerald Compton.Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Wright of Rowlett; son, Larry Peacock of Trinidad; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
