    3. I am providing a link to a poem (due to its length) written by a Henderson County man, my great-uncle while serving during World War II. Womack Tells Of Part In War In Poem Cpl. George Wilson Womack, member of a parachute regiment and at present stationed somewhere in England, has submitted a poem, "Airborne Victory" to tell of the part he and his buddies are playing in the war. Cpl Womack was born and reared in Henderson County, in the Post Oak community, he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Womcak. He finished high school at Cross Roads High School in 1936, and has been in the service since October, 1942. He went overseas last December His wife and baby are making their home at present with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Billings of Kopperel, Bosque County.
