If this is the large green book it mostly covers major news and important obits it reduces 30,000 or more pages of a newspaper to a book of pages 1/4 the size of the newspaper and around 600 pages in length. I have many obits from The Athens college microfilm that are not in the book. Actual newspapers from before 1950 and after 1880 would crumble when touched the few I have are in clear protectors with specially buffered paper to slow the breakdown of the paper due to acids that are a part of the paper itself.
