I am looking to do some research in the Henderson / Rusk / Smith Co., TX area. Is there a single place with much of the research data that is available. Or do I need to look at all three counties. I am in need of an obituary in Rusk Co., TX for 2 May 1937. I am in need of an obituary in Henderson Co., TX for 6 May 1925. I am in need of a death index from 1884-1896 in Smith Co., TX. I also need to look at marriage records in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Also how far is the Motel 6 in Terrell from Canton? How far is the Motel 6 in Tyler from Canton? I forgot to add that Tyler (Smith County) is centrally located to Athens (Henderson County) and Henderson (Rusk County) about 35 miles to either from Tyler. It is about 40 miles from Tyler to Canton and about 30 miles from Terrell to Canton.
