I am looking to do some research in the Henderson / Rusk / Smith Co., TX area. Is there a single place with much of the research data that is available. Or do I need to look at all three counties. I am in need of an obituary in Rusk Co., TX for 2 May 1937. I am in need of an obituary in Henderson Co., TX for 6 May 1925. I am in need of a death index from 1884-1896 in Smith Co., TX. I also need to look at marriage records in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Also how far is the Motel 6 in Terrell from Canton? How far is the Motel 6 in Tyler from Canton? Lightfoot Cemetery is off State Highway 19 South of Athens, TX.. Go about 6 miles south and look for County Road 4612 on the east side. When you get on 4612, look for a road to the east again. Turn on the road; there should be a trail off to the south again, but the cemetery may be grown up so much it may not be recognizable.
