    2. Tool Cemetery, sometimes referred to as "Providence/Tool Cemetery" (Providence Church is there), is located just off Hwy. 274 just out of Tool going toward Trinidad. It is on Church Rd. which turns to the right off Hwy. 274, but I do not know the Country Rd. number.. The cemetery is a short distance down Church Rd. on the left. WS

My Cox family was in Henderson Co , Tx by 1857. GGrandfather, Stephen Franklin &Mary Elizabeth Chappel. They got land &settled, had 3 children, Thomas Chappel, Ella& son B.1868-name not clear on census--Edmond, Edward,Edwin or maybe Robert. This was all on 1870 census. 1880 census does not show the last son. Q. did he died? where is he burried? Where can I find news papers of those yrs? Census 1870 gives Troup as P.O and says they were on Canton Beat. Land records show them buying and selling in Smith County. Is there records for old Methodist churches? GGfather was involved in Methodist Church work. Was there a minster of the gospel named Dr. Fountain. Marriage records show he preformed marriages for Son, Thomas Chappel &Nancy Lettica Stewart near Tyler. He also married Ella & A.A. Darden. Both of these marriages took place in 1877. Thomas &Nancy moved to Taylor Co. about 1881 to homestead some land along with ggranfather. Ella &Alford A. Darden lived in Henderson Co. They had 5 children , also lived in other counties. Ella died before A.A. Did she die in Henderson Co? Is there a town or comunnity named Leaguesville? Is there a cemetery called Leaguesville? Is there a record of who is buried there? Is there a funeral Home that would have records back to 1880? is there anyone that help me find answers? I will pay for copies and postage and time if necessary. Forwarding this if someone is interested Bill -----Original Message----- From: Brian Nichols [mailto:bnichols@nicholsgenealogy.net] Sent: Wednesday, July 13, 2005 12:52 PM To: GAFULTON-L@rootsweb.com Subject: [GAFULTON] Genealogy Classifieds I have just started a website at www.genealogyclassifieds.com and would like to see if anyone wanted to list any old genealogy books or publications here. Its free and hopefully someone may have a book or society magazine someone else needs as well as putting some of the original cost you incurred back into your own pocket for new genealogical books or publications purchases. FYI, I started this because there are a lot of out of print books I am looking for and cant find anywhere to get them. Hopefully this will help me as well as some others in the process. So feel free to forward this to other list you may be members of. I receive no money from this in any way in case some of you were wondering.... Brian Nichols

    2. Terrell is about 20 miles west of Canton, Tyler is about 40 miles east of Canton. Each county maintains its own records in their courthouses for the most part. The East Texas Genealogical Society has a lot of records available, many of these are in the public library in downtown Tyler. The society covers six counties--Anderson, Smith, Gregg, Henderson, Rusk, and Panola counties. http://www.rootsweb.com/~txetgs/index.html Each county also has several web pages with various genelogical societies. Hope this helps. Darrell Clakley
