    3. Posted on: Henderson County, Tx Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Henderson/1445 Surname: GUY, MEGGS, TIDMORE, TADLOCK ------------------------- Searching for information of J.P. Tidmore and wife Delia Guy Tidmore. Delia is the daughter of John James Guy and Martha Aserlene Meggs. She had a sister, Mary Etta who married William Rufus Tadlock in Navarro County in 1898. Mary Etta died in 1918 from the Flu, her husband having predeceased her in 1913 with Typhoid fever. They are both buried in Navarro County. Delia and J.P. Tidmore placed the two younger girls in the Waco Methodist Orphanage in 1918. I would like information on the Tidmores and perhaps relatives that I can contact. Mary Etta Guy Tadlock was my great grandmother--her oldest daughter, Mollie was married by the time her mother died. I would like to know the reason the girls were placed in the orphanage, and the circumstances regarding the decision to put them there.

    3. Posted on: Henderson County, Tx Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Henderson/1444 Surname: GUY, MEGGS, TIDMORE, TADLOCK ------------------------- I am searching for information on J.P. Tidmore, I believe to have lived in Malakoff - Henderson County- Texas in the early 1900's. In 1918, Mr. Tidmore, husband of Delia Guy Tidmore, placed two children both girls, in the Waco Methodist Home. Their father had died in 1913, and their mother, Mary Etta Guy Tadlock, died in the flu epidemic. These girls were Nolia Ethel Tadlock and Lilly May Tadlock. Lilly May was adopted, became Martha Lee Williams, in March 1919. Mary Etta Guy Tadlock was the daughter of John James Guy and Martha Aserline Meggs. She married William Rufus Tadlock in 1899 in Navarro County Texas. My grandmother, Mollie Delia Tadlock Whittenburg was the sister to the two girls mentioned above. I would like to have some information on the circumstances surrounding the decision for the two girls to be placed in the orphanage, and what became of Mr. and Mrs. Tidmore. Aunt Delia was still alive in the early to mid 1960's. Any help would be appreciated.
