L. (or Luther) GREENHAW, b. Sept. 1862 in Ala., and married to Letha J. (possibly MOORE). Letha J. GREENHAW, b. Aug. 25, 1862, died Feb. 9, 1900, buried in Cox Cemetery, Van Zandt Co., Texas. Luther GREENHAW was listed in Van Zandt Co., Tex. 1900 census as widower with two children, Martha, b. Aug. 1886 and Bassie (male), born June 1888. I am wondering if Luther is related to the GREENHAW'S that were in Henderson County, Texas, possibly a relative to the William Pinkney GREENHAW? Any help is appreciated. Ruby

She was born in Henderson Co.,TX,Nov.1871. Her mother was Evaline Chambers and her father was an Avant. There is some confusion in our family over his first name. Some called him Luther,others Nathan, and online I have seen Crawford. With Evaline he had Dora and Mary(Mollie). He died in 1879 when Dora was 8 years old.Evaline remarried Henry J.Williams and had 5 more children-Annie,Alice,Oscar,Byron,and Florence.     3. I am trying to find some words from someone who may have know the Bentley family back in 1860 to 80. My Greatgrandmother, Rhoda Jane Stinson Bentley cared for a boy whose name was Henderson Bentley, afer his momma who was kin to her was unable to care for him. She took care of him right alongside of her own. I have tried to find the boy in years gone by. I did find a Marriage record for Willis Henderson to Susie Bentley, in 1896, so maybe it was those two or their children. If anyone could help me solve this puzzle I sure would be thankful. Grandmother Rhody was such a sweet and generous lady. She and larkin Bentley moved from Nacogdoches to Marshal, Texas sometime around 1880. Thanks, Marilyn
