My Grandad and Grandmother left Henderson County, in 1878, moved to Trinity Mills, Dallas, Co. Tx. then Jack County, then into Indian Territory in 1887-1888. My Dad was the youngest, Ira Mc Manus, born 1891, his dad died 1891. So contact was lost with Henderson Co. Tx. Relatives. My Aunt, Mollie Mc Manus Brown, remembered Sand Flat Cemetery, and Athens, Tx. Thank goodness for that. I have met and enjoyed the distant relatives I have met there. We go once a year in May, to clean the old Cemetery at Sand Flat and renew acquaintances and meet new kin.
