I am a desc of Peter Whetstone. His wife is supposed to be an Anderson. Her name was Dicy/Dicey/Edica. My great aunt had a cousin that she called "Cudin Kiz" who could trace back to Bailey and they always thot that Dicy was the link, but I have not been able to find her in anything that I have found on Bailey. I found a mar. record for a Peter Whetstone and a Dicey Webster in 1814(? can look that up if anyone needs an exact date) in Arkansas Co AR in a DAR magazine. The first children of Peter's and Dicy's (in that first TX census) show that their first children were b. in AR! This is one of my 35 year old puzzles!
