    3. Anyone in the Marshall area this week-end is invited to come to the Harrison County Genealogical Society meeting at 1:30 pm on Saturday, at the Harrison County Historical Museum, downtown on the square. The speaker will be Dr. Jere L. Jackson, Department of History at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. Recently the museum has been the recipient of a new computer and Internet access from the Center for East Texas Studies, which Dr. Jackson directs. The Center's mission is to promote all aspects of the heritage of East Texas. Check out http://www.cets.sfasu.edu and follow the links to Past Port, which provides online help in local history. His program will be about the project and how it can benefit those doing research in the East Texas area, particularly in Harrison County. Membership in the Harrison County Genealogical Society is not required for attendance but is certainly encouraged. The new query system has been improved once again! It now has world search capabilities, among other things; so if you haven't posted a query since March 2, please do it now - http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tx/Harrison I don't know how much longer I'll leave queries posted before March 2, 1998, online. Two more cemeteries coming online soon! Gail Harrison County TXGenWeb coordinator http://www.rootsweb.com/~txharris/harrison.htm
