Hi all, I have bad news and good news ... Bad news is that Rusty Cook says his work schedule prevents him from coordinating the cemetery listing project any longer. He has done a fabulous job of collecting lists that volunteers have done; then he has been putting them into Access before sending on to me for upload to the web site. Thank you so much for all your hard work, Rusty - we'll miss you!! Good news is that there's a wonderful opportunity for someone else to get involved. The goal was (and is) to provide an every name index to the cemetery listings. I'm pretty much up to my ear lobes in maintaining the web site, editing the H.C. Genealogical Society newsletter (articles, anyone???), and would just love to have someone with an interest in continuing Rusty's job. (The pay's no good, but the satisfaction of helping others find their ancestors is immeasurable!!!) That being said - the other good news is that two more cemetery lists (Batts and Cain) have been added, with some corrections/additions to Scottsville Cemetery. I went with Hubert Bender, Alice Barron, and her family, to read Batts a couple of weeks ago. That was a new experience for me - lots of fun! Somebody asked about Cain Cemetery recently, but I can't remember who - hope you find what you're looking for! Take a look - any corrections/additons, let me know www.rootsweb.com/~txharris/hcem.htm www.rootsweb.com/~txharris/cain.htm www.rootsweb.com/~txharris/batts.htm www.rootsweb.com/~txharris/scottsville.htm It's been a busy day, and I'm retiring for now ...
