I am Janet Grace and live in the small town of Hallsville. Have lived in Harrison county all my life. I am currently researching the Family of Joseph Franklin Hughes - and this is what i have so far Joseph Franklin Hughes (Joseph aka Joe or Pat Hughes) was born July 31, 1884 died April 2, 1933. Married Mary Ann Cornelius. She died October 20, 1927 in Texarkana, Texas He was a street car conducter & farmer. Joe had 2 kids - Ruell & Ruthie Hughes before he married my grandmother..They had 2 sons - Harlan (deceased) and Herman (Jack) Orvis Hughes. (currently resides in Marshall) Joe's brothers: Jake, John & Denson Sisters - Millie & Laura. I believe most to have come from the Texarkana, Ark area..but Ruell died in Louisiana. Anyway, that is the most i have come up with! - Appreciate any help on either side. Thanks Janet << Hi, There have been several new listmembers recently, and I'd like to invite you to introduce yourselves to the group. Let us know which lines you're researching, when and where they lived in Harrison County. I'm probably the only one on the list who has no ancestors from the county, and the man I married is a "newcomer", too, since his father was born in Upshur Co., not Harrison, and his mother was from way off in OK. Anyway, let us hear from you!
