Is anyone in Harrison County researching the Farley line? I am looking for a Cornelius girl who married a Farley in the late 1800's, probably about 1870-1890. The woman was a daughter of Jefferson Harvey Cornelius who moved to Texas from Blounty County , AL by 1870 when he settled in Cherokee County. According to an elderly aunt who died 30 years ago, the Cornelius girl married a Mr. Farley and settled in northeast TX. The possible names are: Elizabeth J., Rachel, Sis ( nickname is the only name she was known by), Susannah, Nancy. She had two other sisters: Mahala who married a John Holland, and a Elinor Belle who married Eugene Valentine Gates. Any help would be appreciated. Her brother was Aaron Cornelius who married Sarah Noble in 1864, The rest of the family settled in Bowie County and Angelina County. Reply to Barbara Gothie. bhgothie@mindspring.com.
