BEDDO (born ca 1832 in Georgia; died in a civil war battle on Oct. 9, 1861 in Santa Rosa Florida, but is buried in Georgia). James was the son of Sarah Ann Foreman -- father unknown. James H. Beddo married my gg-grandmother, MARY JUDSON WHALEY on Feb. 11, 1854 in Sparta, Hancock County, Georgia. MARY JUDSON WHALEY (d/o Thomas Jefferson Whaley and Mary Eppes Moss) was born Feb. 6, 1835 in Georgia and died Oct. 21, 1884 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas. MARY WHALEY & JAMES BEDDO had 3 children: (1) SARAH BEDDO who married a THOMAS WHEELER; (2) MARY BEDDO; and (3) CLARA EUGENIA BEDDO (my g-grandmother); born Dec. 28, 1859 in Sparta, Hancock Co., Georgia; Clara married my g-grandfather, WILLIAM SIDNEY COOK on Dec. 23, 1879 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas. Clara Eugenia Beddo died Aug. 17, 1928 in Marshall, Harrison County, Texas. CLARA BEDDO & WILLIAM SIDNEY COOK had 3 children: (1) SYDNEY HERBERT COOK (my grandfather)(March 28, 1881, in Marshall, Harrison Co., Texas; died March 17, 1966 in Marshall, TX -- was mayor of Marshall, TX at one time); Sydney Herbert Cook married twice: first to an "Amelia" who he later divorced (still searching for that one); and secondly to my grandmother, Anna Frances MEHNER. (2) HENRY FORMAN COOK (1883-1955: Marshall, Harrison Co., TX), who married a Jeam GILMORE. (3) HOWARD LEROY COOK (1885-1955): Marshall, Harrison Co., TX -- who married a Nettie Boswell SULLIVAN.
