This came across my list for TX county coordinators - >From the Clayton Library in Houston: Here's some good news for a change: 1920 Soundex Completed! Thanks to the continued generous support of HPL, the CLF (Clayton Library Friends) membership, and numerous concrtibuting organizations, our goal of acquiring all of the 1920 Soundex microfilm has finally been met. Orders were placed recently for the last remaining rolls of the collection, making Clayton Library the only public library in Texas to own the complete set. A much larger collection than the corresponding population schedules, the 1920 Soundex consists of 8,585 rolls, reprenting an asset of $291,890. CLF extends is sincere thanks to all those individuals and organizations who contibuted funds for the effort over the past several years.
